We experienced exceptional service from Hailey helping us with prisms on the prescription eyeglasses. She was patient, kind, informative and went beyond to send a fax to another eye specialist, talking to the Dr in the clinic that day, involving the manager about our inability to get a specialist appointment for another 6 months. Dr Fantoni is upbeat and kind and you can ask her any question and she listens and answers without her trying to sell you anything.The staff all round is excellent. I love this location. They are always so friendly and helpful. I stopped in today because one of my lenses kept falling out of my frames and Lindsay helped me right away. This is the second time she's helped me repair a set of glasses within minutes and free of charge. She gets them back to brand new and it's such a relief to have someone quickly fix something rather than them telling you that you have to send them out for a repair, wait however long to get them back, and then pay who knows how much. Excellent Lasik experience! I had fun with the staff, the appointment for candidacy was thorough and consultative, and a week later the surgery itself took about 4 min. The cost of glasses and contacts will repay this quickly and now the only thing limiting my vision is the curvature of the earth. My wife will be going next! More

The eye doctor... Probs one of the under served of the review world. I've been a patient of Koch over 20 years. A larger company purchased the family owned biz but I still feel like I get family run service.I really like the Wickford location. I can usually get in there within two weeks of calling, it's low key and on time, 100% of the time. They have a small optical shop here. I don't usually get my glasses here but there's zero pressure to buy after your appointment. Great staff, easy parking and thorough exams. I'll probably come for another 20 years. More

UPDATE, 2:45pm, 2023-05-01 - The office got back to me right away and let me know that their system is back up. Thank you to everyone there for responding promptly. I'm changing my review accordingly.Been a loyal customer for almost a decade but the optical shop told me their systems were down and they couldn't help facilitate payment for a new pair of glasses, and that they would call me when they could log back into them. It's been nearly a month since I got my prescription for new glasses, no call, no update on whether they can accept my insurance for glasses. Meanwhile I'm having difficulty reading/seeing things. I've called the optics shop three times to try and get an update. Yes, I know I can take my prescription anywhere I want. But they take my insurance, so why should I have to? A whole new world! My vision was at almost -5 before the surgery and now I have better than 20/20 vision! The staff are all so lovely and were very reassuring and comforting during the surgery. The recovery time short and I was up and back to my regular routine the next day. I no longer have to fumble for my glasses in the middle of the night or count contacts to make sure I can make it to my next eye appointment. 10/10 recommend. More

(ie, he said my Asian name wrong, and then didn't bother apologizing / couldn't even try when I offered the correct pronunciation of my name. This is one of the best eye places I've been to. The staff is so friendly, and very helpful. The doctors are also very nice. Place is always very clean. When I have a appointment at a certain time. They don't make me wait. They take me in for my schedule time. That's awesome. In and out in no time, exam, contacts, questions answered, 3 pairs of glasses pick out and done in 35 minutes. Had LASIK on 8/14/2020, great experience, I was well informed of what to expect. No surprises. Dr. Gerber was very professional and has good bed side manners. For my follow up the next day I saw Dr. Bae and she was very nice, friendly and sweet. The entire staff at all the locations I have visited for eye exams, purchase glasses and/or contacts have been very nice. I had been going to Vision World/ Works for the last 20 years for eye exams, glasses, contacts. When I was last seen a few years ago I was told my eyes had weakened and I needed -6.0 in my left eye and -5.0 in my right, a substantial increase from -4.75 left and -3.75 right two years before. Needless to say I experienced hyperopia and needed readers for the first time. I wasn't able to read labels, see my phone, or use a laptop without readers of at least +2.5. I was recently seen by Dr Besen at Koch Eye who prescribed contacts of -5.25 left and -4.25 right. I'm absolutely certain that Vision World had me in lenses that were too strong because now I can see my laptop without readers, and I can see my phone if I hold it at arms length. Not only can I see better (for distance as well as close up), but the entire experience of walking into Koch, being greeted by reception, having a preliminary exam by the optician assistants, receiving a full eye exam by the optometrist, being properly fitted for glasses by the optician, and checking out with reception, is exponentially superior with Koch. Clearly the entire staff enjoy their careers, and are friendly, professional, and completely competent. Thank you, Koch Eye Associates! I will recommend you to everyone I know. I had been going to Vision World/ Works for the last 20 years for eye exams, glasses, contacts. When I was last seen a few years ago I was told my eyes had weakened and I needed -6.0 in my left eye and -5.0 in my right, a substantial increase from -4.75 left and -3.75 right two years before. Needless to say I experienced hyperopia and needed readers for the first time. I wasn't able to read labels, see my phone, or use a laptop without readers of at least +2.5. <br /> I was recently seen by Dr Besen at Koch Eye who prescribed contacts of -5.25 left and -4.25 right. I'll begin this review by explaining that I haven't ever been to an eye doctor before. Even though I pay for supplemental vision insurance through my employer, I thought the only people who needed to go to the eye doctor were people who needed or wore glasses. Here's the PSA part of the review: That's not true, it is recommended that people see an eye doctor every one to two years - even if they are not experiencing any concerns. So, now you know. I had been experiencing watery, itchy eyes for a few months and though it was just allergy related but decided I should stop complaining about it and finally go see a doctor to get an actual answer. I was terrified to go to my first visit and had no idea what to expect. I called Koch Eye based on a recommendation from a friend and because of how close it is to where I work. I'll be honest, the waiting area was cluttered and outdated and I almost psyched myself out from checking in for my appointment based on my first impression of the office. But before I could turn around to exit, the person working behind the desk, came out of the back and greeted me. She checked me in, completed my new patient paperwork electronically and brought me in to the exam room. The staff was warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Bea (pronounced bay) explained what she would be doing and what I could expect to feel as she added drops and dyes to my eyes. She performed a series of tests and took a good look in my eyes after they were dilated. Dr Bea was really easy to work with and even though I was nervous about all of the equipment and scary looking old-timey mechanical gadgets she was using, she kept me comfortable and at ease. I work in technology so the doctor administered an additional test that checked how my vision responded when items were close up and made a recommendation that I may benefit from wearing transition glasses at work or when I began experiencing eye fatigue from staring at a screen or tablet for extended periods of time. She also wrote out a plan to help manage my dry and itchy eyes which has helped tremendously. While I don't have any other experiences to compare this one with, I would recommend Dr Bea and I look forward to seeing her next year. More

She spent a good amount of time trying to get the right fit and the arm back in place. She was so nice and helpful and when I went to offer to pay, she said there was no charge! I ended up ordering a new pair of glasses, left the office, and decided to make a change to my order. I called the office and they were able to quickly help me with my request. I'm a fan of Dr. Aeode. She has a wonderful respect to her patients and treats them with the highest respect. Since I have been going to her office in Woonsocket, RI, I have said nothing but good things about Koch Eye Asc. However, as my age marches on and my vision gets worse, I have fallen victim to having to wear glasses. This is where I have trouble with Koch. The technician that works in this department, Darlene, has a cold, careless aproach of how to treat customers with respect. I have dealt with her twice and both times I feel like I'm 'cattle being shuffled off to the bone yard'. She doesn't care about me or my wellfare but only my wallet. It's like 'hurry up and get outta here because your bothering me' attitude. I hope my comment doesn't fall on deaf ears and something gets said and done about this soon. This would change my rating to 5 stars. More

I saw Dr. Ireland a few months ago in the Warwick office and she was so nice, the process of getting my new glasses was easy and fast. The glasses were kind of crooked but i didn't really notice until i got home. After putting off going back to the office to have them looked at, I decided to try to adjust them myself by messing with one of the screws. I spent two hours trying to fix it but could not get it screwed back together. I took them to the Koch in Providence today and the lady that works in the frame department fixed them in about 2 minutes for free. I was so happy and everything was super easy. Both offices are very nice and staff is friendly. The only thing about the providence location is parking kind of sucks downtown and there isnt a lot that i know of. More

You will get personal assistance and the pleasure of special attention as far as them listening, having patience, and even throwing in some free contact lens samples. Maria will even take your new glasses out to your car curbside at pickup.My daughter now she goes, no matter where we live in Rhode Island, I will go out of my way to keep going here because they are the best! I recently had my eye exam and I was very impressed that my new eye doctor took time with the exam and told me why my eyes where itching alot because of dry eye syndrome and she was nice enough to give me free samples of lubricated eye drops . Also I like to thank that nice lady Danielle for taking me right away before seeing the eye doctor she was very polite and so was the receptionist. I recommend this place to friends and family and my mother wants to go. Also, my eyes did change a little bit and I had to pick out my glasses and I really like them. Also, I received a call a week after my eye exam and they told,me my glasses were ready and when I put them on what a big difference I can see alot better. Patti Koch is one of the best eye doctors around. Her singsong voice will stay with you for days. Honestly. If Mary Poppin's was an eye doctor, she would be Patti.The office is always clean, has televisions and magazines out front, and the staff is warm and welcoming. You can order your contacts and glasses through this facility, and they have decent prices. As awkward as a trip to an eye doctor can be, with the puffs of air, random drops in you eyes, not being able to distinguish E from B....Patti turns the experience around and makes it a breeze.I have seen a few other doctors at this office, and haven't loved them as much (hence the 4 stars,) but will see them if Patti isn't free. I recently went to seacoast for a checkup and to get glasses, and was lucky enough to get an appointment with their newest addition, Dr. Levy. I'm a little finicky and picky when it comes to my healthcare, and Dr. Levy was really sweet and took the time to make me feel comfortable and answer any questions that I had. She even gave me some opinions on glasses! She is quite a gem in the small state of RI. I am actually looking forward to my next visit! :) More

The customer service that I received this morning from Maria at the downtown Providence location of Koch Eye Associates was excellent! This morning when I got up I discovered that the dog had chewed on the lenses of my glasses. Maria made a phone call and got everything taken care of for me. My glasses are being repaired and I should have them back in a few days. More
