Meet Dr. DePoutot

Dr. Andrea DePoutot is a primary care optometrist at Koch Eye Associates. Though originally from northern Connecticut, Rhode Island has become a second home for her, as she has spent much of her time here with family since childhood. She relocated to Rhode Island after completing her residency in 2024. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, going to the beach, and trying new recipes.

Dr. Andrea DePoutot is a skilled optometrist with a focus on comprehensive eye care. She specializes in diagnosing and managing a range of ocular conditions, including macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal diseases, and infectious and inflammatory conditions of the eye. Her expertise also covers diabetic eye exams, refractions, and the prescription of glasses and contact lenses. Dr. DePoutot is dedicated to providing thorough, personalized care to ensure the best possible outcomes for each patient’s vision and eye health.

Education

Dr. Andrea DePoutot received her bachelor’s degree from Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts, and her Doctorate of Optometry from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Koch Eye Associates, she completed a one-year residency focused on ocular disease through New England College of Optometry (NECO) at the Newington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Newington, Connecticut.
