Meet Dr. Nicoletti

Dr. Allen James Nicoletti is an Optometrist at Koch Eye Associates. Originally from Staten Island, NY, he relocated to New England for his optometry education. After completing his residency in Rhode Island in 2023, Dr. Nicoletti decided to make Rhode Island his home. He valued the experience of working with student clinicians during his residency and now serves as Adjunct Faculty, mentoring third and fourth-year students at the Eye and Vision Center of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) School of Optometry. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the beach and gaming on his computer.

Areas of Expertise

Dr. Nicoletti specializes in the management of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. He is skilled in utilizing advanced diagnostic technologies to assess and monitor eye health. His expertise extends from prescribing spectacle and contact corrective lenses to managing infectious and inflammatory eye conditions, as well as providing comprehensive pre- and post-surgical care.

Education

Dr. Nicoletti earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from CUNY College of Staten Island and his Doctorate in Optometry from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) School of Optometry. Following his graduation, he completed a residency in ocular disease at the Providence Veteran Affairs Medical Center through the New England College of Optometry (NECO).
