I can't say enough good things about this office. The staff is professional and friendly. The office itself is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I had the Lasik procedure and couldn't be happier with the results. The staff takes the time to make sure you are informed about pre- and post-procedure care. My procedure was performed by Dr. Sayegh, with pre and post op care provided by Dr. Tran. Both doctors were easy to talk to and addressed any concerns I had. I would recommend this office to anyone looking in to having the Lasik procedure. More

While in Boston ,on a sunday afternoon ,I experienced what felt like a torn or detached retina. Driving home I called Koch and got the on call optometrist. The optometrist was lionel Lemos and he called me back within 5 minutes. He then drove the 30 minutes to the tollgate office to examine my eye. He was prompt, professional and put me at ease. I was given an appointment with Dr Serednyakova on Wednesday. The entire staff could not have been nicer. Thank you Dr Lemos for everything. More

I first went to Koch Eye many years ago after being referred there for a follow up appointment after being treated at the emergency room for an eye injury, That was the only time I actually saw Dr. Koch himself (who was very nice by the way) It is only in the last few years (since my old lady eyes have begun to need reading glasses) that I have come in regularly for my eye exam and glasses prescription. I never have any problem with wait time because there are several optometrists. Really the only thing I am not crazy about is their hours. I wish it was possible to get an evening appointment or that there was an occasional Saturday. The office staff is pleasant and courteous More

I had been going to Vision World/ Works for the last 20 years for eye exams, glasses, contacts. When I was last seen a few years ago I was told my eyes had weakened and I needed -6.0 in my left eye and -5.0 in my right, a substantial increase from -4.75 left and -3.75 right two years before. Needless to say I experienced hyperopia and needed readers for the first time. I wasn't able to read labels, see my phone, or use a laptop without readers of at least +2.5. I was recentl...y seen by Dr Besen at Koch Eye who prescribed contacts of -5.25 left and -4.25 right. I'm absolutely certain that Vision World had me in lenses that were too strong because now I can see my laptop without readers, and I can see my phone if I hold it at arms length. Not only can I see better (for distance as well as close up), but the entire experience of walking into Koch, being greeted by reception, having a preliminary exam by the optician assistants, receiving a full eye exam by the optometrist, being properly fitted for glasses by the optician, and checking out with reception, is exponentially superior with Koch. I would consider coming back for another appointment if billing would answer my requests to send my information back through insurance for coverage. Quite a while ago now I was advised by one of your staff, Melissa, that my insurance was denied bc of an error with my insurance account. She said to call them and once the error was fixed to call Kosh back asking for my bill to be resubmitted and it should then get covered. I have called numerous times, left messages, and even sent a letter explaining the situation, and yet I recently received yet another bill with no noticeable change that it had been resubmitted to my insurance. I am not aiming to avoid payment. I would just like to be fairly billed through my insurance, which like I said was advised from one of your employees. Please let me know what I need to do to make this happen. More

This has been my second visit with Dr. Lewis and I honestly cannot say good enough things. Dr. Lewis saved my little boy’s life. He was diagnosed with Lyme disease and was being treated with the normal medication. He was complaining of vision problems. I made an appointment to have him checked. When Dr. Lewis did his eye exam she pulled me aside and told me I had to take him to the hospital immediately that she had already called the hospital and that they were expecting me. He had Lyme meningitis. He was in intensive care for a week. The doctor said he would have died, and certainly has gone blind if Dr. Lewis had not sent us. I can never repay her for what she did but she will always be my example of excellence in health care. Koch Eye Associates has found a precious gem and that gem is Dr Lewis. More

I love this location. They are always so friendly and helpful. I stopped in today because one of my lenses kept falling out of my frames and Lindsay helped me right away. This is the second time she's helped me repair a set of glasses within minutes and free of charge. She gets them back to brand new and it's such a relief to have someone quickly fix something rather than them telling you that you have to send them out for a repair, wait however long to get them back, and then pay who knows how much. It was my husband's and my first time here. We needed to find a new eye doctor due to a change in his insurance. So far everything and everyone was amazing! Fun the girls and the front desk, to the nice person who tried her hardest to get me in with my husband instead of going back in the afternoon. Marc from Wakefield RI.I am So thankful for all the staff at Koch eye in Wakefield RI. I was seen this morning on an emergency basis for removal of some sand embedded in my upper eyelid. The reception staff at the front recognized how much pain i was in and expedited getting me into an exam room where i was quickly given drops to decrease the level of discomfort I was in, while i waited for Dr. Burns. Once Dr. Burns came in, she quickly and professionally found the problem and was able to remove the stone. Now at home I am pain free and so happy that the local office was there to help. More

She explains everything carefully and completely. Being over 60, I have multiple concerns and she addresses all of them thoroughly. Yesterday (4/3/23) I called the office for an appointment. After discussing the symptoms I was experiencing, the receptionist felt that it was urgent that I be seen. It was 3:45 PM. At 4:25 I was at the Koch Eye Associates office in W. Warwick. Everything from end to end was superb: Smooth check-in, excellent prep for the exam, thorough examination with complete explanation of the results. It turned out that everything was essentially normal, and my symptoms were just one of those things that go with aging. The fact that I was treated so promptly and thoroughly at the end of the day really impressed me. I recommend this practice without reservation. Thank you. More

I have been coming to Dr. Furham for years and he is a great doctor. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for his new young eye tech. He was extremely rude, and very condescending. When I tried to give him my patient history to help my Dr to understand my eye ailment he said we don’t have time for that just tell me if you are taking the medications as directed. I was very taken back by his rude tone. Then when he asked me to read the eye chart I asked him if this was part of my annual eye exam. He said just read the chart, everyone who comes in here has to read the chart. When I spoke up and told him that he could be more courteous to patients he very rudely sat across from me in an extremely sarcastic, condescending nature and said fine, then what would you like to talk about today. This is the second rude snarky encounter I have had with this tech and this could not go over looked. Koch eye needs to train their staff on common courtesy. I was a loyal patients in the community supporting their business. Totally unacceptable! More

Excellent service from start to finish. I was able to have a consult and surgery in the same week. I met with two technicians before Dr. Gerber and everyone was open to answering my questions and addressing any concerns about the surgery. Recovery was as expected with some discomfort the first night which drastically improved by the next morning. Can’t recommend highly enough. More

After yrs of thinking about it, I finally decided to get a consult at Koch for Lasik. I ended up having the PRK procedure, as I was not a candidate for Lasik. I am about 2 weeks post procedure, and I couldn’t be happier w/ the results thus far. Thank you to Dr Sayegh who performed the quick procedure making me feel at ease and answering all my concerns clearly and thoroughly leaving nothing out whether I wanted to hear it or not! You are a perfectionist and I love that about you. I made my appointment for 11am. I got here on time. Waited about 20 minutes in the waiting room, finally got called back into a room, was told the doctor will be in shortly. It's now been 50 minutes sitting in the room waiting for the doctor. There was a lady in line in front of me at the dest checking in I heard the receptionist say "your appointment isn't till 11:30" She said yeah. Well I'm waiting in the room with the door open. That same lady just walked out from her exam and I hear the worker say "let's go to the front desk to make a follow up appointment. So they just gave this lady my appointment and now I've been waiting for over an hour at this point and still haven't been seen. I will never again come here. More

September 16th I had my procedure for lasik. From the consult to the post op, I felt taken care of. Tracy and Natalie answered all my zany questions with grace and encouragement. I felt at ease with Rita and Dr. Sayegh before and during the procedure, the two techs in the procedure room were kind and gentle and I wish I had gotten their names. Dr. Bae did my consult and day after post op check up, she was kind, encouraging and informative. I was in tremendous pain for a few hours after, I miss timed my pain relief. I would highly recommend taking something *before* arriving at the center. It was a cross between a brain freeze and a migraine, after 5 hours it dissipated like it didn’t even happen. Overall, I still can’t believe I have 20/15 vision, and the team here helped the smooth transition of lasik. 12/10 highly recommend! More

So glad I chose Koch LASIK for my surgery. The staff were amazing in every way. From my consultation with Dr Tran to the day of my surgery it went so smoothly. On the day of my surgery I worked with Rita Uriati. She was awesome! She kept me calm and helped me through the whole process. Can’t say enough about how professional and kind she was. It can be scary but she definitely helped me through it. Dr. Sayegh performed the surgery and home has the best bedside manor. He is calm and tells you every step of the way what he’s doing and how long it will take. It actually went by super fast and I was worried for nothing. My eye sight is still perfect 2 years later. I waited to do this review until after I could say for sure that I have zero regrets. I would do it all over again if I had to. A whole new world! My vision was at almost -5 before the surgery and now I have better than 20/20 vision! The staff are all so lovely and were very reassuring and comforting during the surgery. The recovery time short and I was up and back to my regular routine the next day. Today I had brought my mother in to koch eye on tollgate rd for her retinal appointment. While we were there an unfortunate event happened. One of the employees went into very serious medical distress. It was heartbreaking. But to see how the entire staff come together they way they did not only for their coworker but for each other. I watched this entire staff give their coworker immediate attention be there and console one another. All while still running the office and still making the patients a priority. All that has been going on in this world. To sit in a facility and watched these coworkers hug one another wipe some tears and still do their job at the Sametime. Recently had cataract surgery. Both the office and St. James Surgery Center functions like a well oiled machine. Every employee that I interacted with was knowledgeable, friendly and good at what they do. My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to thank Dr. Richard Sayegh personally for restoring my vision to a level that it had never been before. My distance vision is now 20/20 with no refractive correction and with the standard surgery. Results like that require a very high level of skill. Top notch eye care! More

Just as the July 4 three day weekend was beginning, I became concerned about a sudden change of vision in one of my eyes and, to make a long story short, my regular eye doctor (who is not affiliated with Koch) was already out of town and Koch was the only local eye specialist I reached that was willing or able to take me so late in the day - literally just before closing when there was just one doctor still in the office. The office is clean and organized. Best of all, I got a new pair of glasses AND sunglasses for less than what I paid for one pair at other places. 10/10 recommend Koch Eye for your vision needs. The glasses are a complex prescription with progressive lenses, and they clearly are the right prescription. The fitting was excellent — I am used to glasses, but these ones feel like they are “transparent”. I have had a couple of incidents at night where I have forgotten they were on. More

Everything from intake/insurance approval thru going home instructions was clear. The center is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The surgery prep room made me think, "this is a really good team - lots of smooth handoffs and cross checking to insure accuracy! There were a bunch of chairs that convert to operating tables and they move patients in and out at an impressive pace. Well oiled machine!! They were a friendly and (seem like a) happy crew! From the moment I walked in the staff was fantastic in informing you of the procedure,prep..and post surgery information.I cant say enough about the staff.What a wonderful group of professionals! Absolutely loved my results. I had moderate to high myopia -7.00 to -7.50 in both of my eyes and I was still a candidate for lasik. The procedure is definitely a bit nerve wracking but they walk through every step as they go, and the staff is very comforting. The entire procedure is maybe 10-15 minutes, hang in there, it is so worth it. I am less than 24 hours post op and I can see almost perfectly clear. I had some burning for about 4-5 hours after my procedure, the best way I can describe it is, it felt like I had been cutting onions. Uncomfortable but not unbearable. Dr. Gerber was recommended to me by a co worker, he pleasant and put me at ease answering all my questions in the consult, I also elected to have him do my procedure as well and he was fantastic. The front desk staff and techs are also all fabulous. If you have an HSA or FSA you can use it, and my VSP vision insurance also covered 15% of the procedure. Absolutely life changing for someone with a script that was a bad as mine! A small price to pay in the long run for amazing vision. More

The day of my surgery Robin, Jennifer and Natality gave me such ease. While in Boston ,on a sunday afternoon ,I experienced what felt like a torn or detached retina. Driving home I called Koch and got the on call optometrist. The optometrist was lionel Lemos and he called me back within 5 minutes. He then drove the 30 minutes to the tollgate office to examine my eye. He was prompt, professional and put me at ease. I wanted to wait a few months before I wrote my review. It turns out to be the best decision I ever made. I had trouble at first doing the pre test because it's hard for me to keep my eyes open so they had me come back. They were very patient with me. The place is very clean and all the doctors are nice. They are also very good with appointments for post op, you don't have to wait long like most doctors. I would highly recommend this place if you chose to have Laser Eye surgery done. More

I had been going to Vision World/ Works for the last 20 years for eye exams, glasses, contacts. When I was last seen a few years ago I was told my eyes had weakened and I needed -6.0 in my left eye and -5.0 in my right, a substantial increase from -4.75 left and -3.75 right two years before. Needless to say I experienced hyperopia and needed readers for the first time. I wasn't able to read labels, see my phone, or use a laptop without readers of at least +2.5. I was recently seen by Dr Besen at Koch Eye who prescribed contacts of -5.25 left and -4.25 right. I'm absolutely certain that Vision World had me in lenses that were too strong because now I can see my laptop without readers, and I can see my phone if I hold it at arms length. Not only can I see better (for distance as well as close up), but the entire experience of walking into Koch, being greeted by reception, having a preliminary exam by the optician assistants, receiving a full eye exam by the optometrist, being properly fitted for glasses by the optician, and checking out with reception, is exponentially superior with Koch. Even though I pay for supplemental vision insurance through my employer, I thought the only people who needed to go to the eye doctor were people who needed or wore glasses. Here’s the PSA part of the review: That’s not true, it is recommended that people see an eye doctor every one to two years -  even if they are not experiencing any concerns. So, now you know. I had been experiencing watery, itchy eyes for a few months and though it was just allergy related but decided I should stop complaining about it and finally go see a doctor to get an actual answer. I was terrified to go to my first visit and had no idea what to expect. I called Koch Eye based on a recommendation from a friend and because of how close it is to where I work. I’ll be honest, the waiting area was cluttered and outdated and I almost psyched myself out from checking in for my appointment based on my first impression of the office. But before I could turn around to exit, the person working behind the desk, came out of the back and greeted me. She checked me in, completed my new patient paperwork electronically and brought me in to the exam room. The staff was warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Bea (pronounced bay) explained what she would be doing and what I could expect to feel as she added drops and dyes to my eyes. She performed a series of tests and took a good look in my eyes after they were dilated. Dr Bea was really easy to work with and even though I was nervous about all of the equipment and scary looking old-timey mechanical gadgets she was using, she kept me comfortable and at ease. I work in technology so the doctor administered an additional test that checked how my vision responded when items were close up and made a recommendation that I may benefit from wearing transition glasses at work or when I began experiencing eye fatigue from staring at a screen or tablet for extended periods of time. She also wrote out a plan to help manage my dry and itchy eyes which has helped tremendously. While I don’t have any other experiences to compare this one with, I would recommend Dr Bea and I look forward to seeing her next year. More

I first went to Koch Eye many years ago after being referred there for a follow up appointment after being treated at the emergency room for an eye injury, That was the only time I actually saw Dr. Koch himself (who was very nice by the way)It is only in the last few years (since my old lady eyes have begun to need reading glasses) that I have come in regularly for my eye exam and glasses prescription. I never have any problem with wait time because there are several optometrists. Really the only thing I am not crazy about is their hours. I wish it was possible to get an evening appointment or that there was an occasional Saturday. The office staff is pleasant and courteous More

I love Dr. Burns and the ladies at the front desk. I am always in and out and never have trouble making an appointment. Today I looked at the eye glasses shop inside and was pleasantly surprised. The selection was better than I expected considering how small it is compared to LensCrafters. I paid half of what I would have paid at LensCrafters for the same thing. The woman who helped me was great she let me browse and when I found something I liked she was very helpful. I would definitely get glasses here again and will always come back for my exam. More

I switched from my eye doctor of 15 years because of reoccurring bad experiences in recent years. I had begun to feel like a number instead of a patient with a name. My eye sight is something that I've always struggled with and had to worry about.
