Michael Consiglio, OD

Optometrist

Dr. Consiglio joined Koch Eye Associates in February, 2001, after having been in private practice for 38 years. With the introduction of revolutionary surgical and laser techniques over the last decade, Dr. Consiglio decided he could better serve his patients through a large group practice such as Koch Eye Associates, where he could continue to give the personal care for which he is known.

Dr. Consiglio completed his undergraduate studies at Providence College in pre-med biology. He went on to graduate from the Massachusetts College of Optometry in June, 1962, with a Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate of Optometry, where he received the Scanlon Out-Patient Award for Clinical Proficiency.

Dr. Consiglio also served in the Medical Service Corp, stationed at First Army Headquarters at Governor's Island, New York, in the base hospital eye clinic, achieving the grade of Captain in the US Army Reserve.

Licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Dr. Consiglio lives with his wife in the local community, where he has been a visual consultant to the Johnston Public Schools for over 25 years.
