LASIK and LASEK are outpatient laser procedures used to treat a variety of vision problems, including astigmatism, mild to moderate nearsightedness, and farsightedness. CustomCornea® using the LADARWave™ Wavefront System is the new, exciting technology that allows the surgeon to see refractive aberrations in clear and accurate, rotating 3-D images. A low-energy laser light reflects off the retina and travels back through the lens and cornea as an outgoing wavefront. With this technology, the surgeon creates a customized corneal ablation for each patient.
